Program: Family & Friends
The SMART Recovery Family & Friends program is based on the 4-Point Program of SMART Recovery, the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) approach, and the Invitation to Change Approach from the Center for Motivation and Change Foundation. It is a mutual support program for family members, partners, and friends impacted by the addictive behavior of a loved one. Participants connect with one another and discuss practical tools for coping more effectively and/or supporting a loved one more effectively, as they choose.
If you are seeking support for your own addictive behavior, we encourage you to join one of our SMART Recovery 4-Point meetings, which are designed specifically for individuals working on their own recovery.
Meetings specifically for those who identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. LGBTQIA+ is often understood to include those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual, as well as any other non-heterosexual or non-cisgender individuals.
