Program: 4-Point Recovery

SMART Recovery’s 4-Point Program is the organization’s flagship secular program serving those with an addictive behavior, including both substance and activity/process addictions. Trained volunteer facilitators lead effective mutual support group discussions on these topics:

  1. Building and maintaining motivation
  2. Coping with urges and cravings
  3. Managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
  4. Living a balanced life
Related tools consistent with evidence-based motivational and cognitive behavioral theories are also offered and discussed.

Specific audiences: LGBTQIA+

Meetings specifically for those who identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. LGBTQIA+ is often understood to include those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual, as well as any other non-heterosexual or non-cisgender individuals.

This SMART Recovery meeting is an intentional welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ attendees and allies of our community.

Located in suite C (upstairs on left)

If the parking lot at 1803 Chapel Hill Road is full, you can also park next door in the lots for 1805 and 1809 Chapel Hill Road

Temporary Meeting Location Notice

Due to ongoing work in our usual meeting space, our SMART Recovery meeting is temporarily being held in a different room. Please note: this temporary location is not accessible for individuals with mobility challenges.

We know how important access to support groups is and plan to return to our accessible room as soon as possible.
